Victor G. Yost

YOST, Victor Glenn, 66, of Route 2, New Martinsville, W.Va., died Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at home.

He was born July 22, 1941, in Jakes Run, W.Va., the son of the late Arnel and Gail (Tennant) Yost.

He was a receiving clerk for 25 years at Bayer Corporation, a member of the Masonic Lodge Wetzel No. 39 AF & AM, Order of Eastern Star No. 50 of New Martinsville, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New Martinsville, Steelton United Methodist Church of New Martinsville, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Virgil, Vernon, Verl and Vaughn Yost.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Yost; two sons, Jarrod (Andy) Yost of Woodbridge, Va., and Jason (Jennifer) Yost of Logan, Ohio; a daughter, Linita (Cruz) Santos of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Vincent (Nancy) Yost of Farmington, W.Va.; four sisters, Vonda (Curtis) Harrell of Calvert City, Ky., Vaneta (Vic) Statler and Vada (Melvin) Eddy, all of Jakes Run, and Vanessa (Ora) Eddy of Daybrook, W.Va.; a special aunt, Wilma Yost of Jakes Run; and six grandchildren, Heather Warren, Hilary Santos, Andrew Yost, Kaitlyn Yost, Ryan Yost and Hayley Yost.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 6-9 p.m., at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Michael Atkinson officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville where the VFW of Sistersville will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services, 2000 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
