He was born October 29, 1947, in Glen Dale, W.Va., son of Samuel Nelson and Beulah Blake Richmond.
He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Moundsville; was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in Vietnam; and was employed by Bayer Chemical Corporation for 38 years.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother in 2003.
Surviving are his father of Glen Easton, W.Va.; his beloved wife of 38 years, Margaret Sampson Richmond; one sister, Donna (Gary) Stewart of Morgantown, W.Va.; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Marlene) Sampson of Washington Lands, and Charlie (Teresa) Sampson of Ala.; a foster brother, Larry Carroll of Glen Easton; many beloved nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1109 Second Street, Moundsville, Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., with Brother James H. Allen officiating.
Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
