Wheeling Park routs Oak Glen

Cory Kimble struck out 11 and Matt Church brought the lumber, hitting two doubles and a home run, as Hundred downed Valley 12-2 in high school baseball action Tuesday in Pine Grove.

Alex Henderson struck out eight and hit two singles for the Lumberjacks (0-9).

Williamstown 10

Tyler Consolidated 0

At Kidwell, Justin Wajda pitched a no-hitter as Williamstown hammered Tyler Consolidated.

Wheeling Park 13

Oak Glen 3

At New Manchester, Clark Sambuco, Ryan Sengewalt, and Chad Kimpel each had multi-hit games as Wheeling Park routed Oak Glen.

Jordan Daugherty struck out seven to record the victory for Park (12-4).

Paden City 4,

Wood Co. Christian 3

At Paden City, Ryan Thoburn’s double and Chaz Heasley’s nine strikeouts lifted the Wildcats (14-4) to victory.

Magnolia 14, River 13

At Hannibal, the bats came alive as 27 runs were scored between Magnolia and River.

Andrew Robinson, Kale Street, Justin Fox, Kyle Kimble, and Johnny Peffer had multiple hits for Magnolia. Daniel Starr and Travis Riesbeck hit homers for River.

Steubenville 17

Buckeye Local 7

At Connorville, Jeremy Banks, Anthony Pierro, and Jordan McIntyre had multiple hits and Anthony Gossett and Darin Heatherington each doubled with two RBI as Steubenville (8-3) rolled.

Josh Verhovec had a single, double and four RBI for the Panthers (7-6).

Cambridge 13

Harrison Central 2

At Cadiz, Cambridge hammered Harrison Central behind multi-hit games from Taylor Leppla, Winston Turner, Kirk Wetherell, and Ryan McClelland.

Cameron 10, Beallsville 5

At Beallsville, Tanner Hoffman led the Dragons with 12 strikeouts and Kyle Warsinsky drove in three runs.

Beallsville’s Kevin Stoney had a double and three RBI.

Steubenville Central 12, Shadyside 4

At Steubenville, Brian DeFranco picked up a victory with eight strikeouts while driving in two as the Steubenville Central handed Shadyside its first loss. Kraig Kubancik had a single and a double for the Tigers (8-1).

At Woodsfield, Fort Frye ended Monroe Central’s undefeated run behind a 10-strikeout performance from Tyler Stevens.

Josh Turner led the Seminoles (6-1) with a double, home run and three RBI.

At Bellaire, the Bishops edged the Fighting Irish as Bo Groves had three singles and four RBI.

Martins Ferry 6

Barnesville 2

At Barnesville, Brandon Leonard connected on three singles for four RBI and Clay Francis added two singles in leading Martins Ferry past Barnesville.

Brooke 10, Linsly 6

At Wellsburg, Ethan Benham picked up a victory, and at the plate, hit a two-run home run as the Bruins defeated Linsly. The Cadets’ Jordan Medley drove in three runs.

Bridgeport 4

Weirton Madonna 3

At Bridgeport, Bryan Skoff and Zach Smith each had RBI singles as Bridgeport (7-3) edged Weirton Madonna. Max Nogay had a double and an RBI for the Blue Dons.

Weir 15, Claymont 11

CLAYMONT, Ohio — Matt Nagy hit two home runs, two singles, and totalled four RBI as Weir held off Claymont.

Beallsville 4, Shenandoah 1

At Sarahsville, Jed Marling paced Beallsville with three singles against Shenandoah.
