LAURINE, Doreen Laura Snutch, 82, of Weirton, W.Va., died Sunday, June 1, 2008.

She was born December 30, 1925 in Leicestershire, England, the daughter of the late Harold Cooper and Laura Howes Stanch.

She was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Women’s Royal Air Force during which time she met her husband, the late Philip Laura, who was a member of the US Army Air Corps.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalind Marie Giglio; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Dale Laurine; a grandson, Matthew Thomas Moore; and two sisters, Gladys Medhurst and Dorothy Clark.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony Philip (Karen) Laurine of Weirton, Harold Mark Laurine of Brilliant, Ohio and James Cooper (Jacqueline) Laurine of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a daughter, Denise Laurine (James) Klug of Proctor, W.Va.; a son-in-law, Peter S. Giglio of Weirton; a sister, May Blaylock of Birstall Leicestershire, England; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
