TRICK-OR-TREAT TIMES IN THE VALLEY
- Belmont - Trick-or-Treat 6-7 p.m. Oct. 31; Fun Night to follow from 7-9 p.m. in the old gym.
- Benwood Trick-or-Treat 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 31; parade lineup at 7 p.m. at the Fourth Street Playground.
A party, following the parade, will be held at the playground, where treat bags and door prizes will be given. The party is only for children who reside in Benwood.
- Bridgeport - Halloween costume parade for children 6 p.m. Oct. 31, with line-up at 5:45 p.m. at Bennett and Marion streets; Trick-or-treat 7-8 p.m.
"Spookfest on the Patio," sponsored by the Bridgeport Area Chamber of Commerce, has been postponed to 7 p.m. Oct. 24.
- Glen Dale Trick-or-Treat 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
- McMechen - Trick-or-Treat 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
- Moundsville - Trick-or-Treat 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
- Paden City Paden City and surrounding communities will observe Trick-or-Treat on the same night from 6-7 p.m. Oct. 29.
- St. Clairsville - Trick-or-Treat 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
The Ohio Valley Mall will host a Halloween costume contest for children 12 and under this Saturday. Registration is at noon; the contest begins at 1 p.m. in the promotional court.
- Steubenville The city's Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a Halloween party from 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center. Pupils in first through sixth grades are invited to participate in Halloween activities, including arts and crafts and games. Refreshments will be provided.
- Weirton Trick-or-Treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
Top Form Karate and Fitness Studio, 1000 Pennsylvania Ave., will hold a Haunted Dojo this Friday and Saturday and Oct. 23-24. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tours begin at 7 p.m.
- Wheeling Trick-or-Treat 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
The YWCA at 11th and Chapline streets in Wheeling will host a Halloween party for local children from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
This safe alternative to trick-or-treating will have games, prizes and candy in a safe, controlled environment.
There will be a costume contest, concession stand, refreshments and other activities.
Jackson Hewitt Tax Services of Wheeling is sponsoring the party.
While all children are invited, the party is more suitable for youth ages 4-13.
Tickets are available at a discount in advance and for full price at the door.
One adult can attend free with each child.
Parents will not be charged.
Free children's costumes will be available for those purchasing advance tickets at the YWCA between today and Oct. 30.
