Nicole Marie Shields and Russell Alan Fithyan were united in marriage Saturday, July 24, at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, Annapolis, Md., with the Rev. Martin Burnham officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Lynn Thomas of Arnold, Md.
The groom is the son of Ernie and Teresa Fithyan of Wellsburg.
Sarah Fellers was maid of honor. Eric Fithyan, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Other attendants were Deb Jorge; Diane Krzywicki; Ang Mazur; Laurie Young; Lynn Milke; Lisa Menter; Michelle Thomas; Randy Beers; Tim Brady; Regis Ryan; Richie Thomas, brother of the bride; Kyle Thomas, brother of the bride, and Christopher Thomas, brother of the bride.
A reception was held at the Sheraton, Annapolis.
The bride is a graduate of Millersville University, Lancaster, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education. She is employed at Fairland Elementary School, Silver Spring, Md., as a kindergarten teacher.
The groom is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. He is employed with Sherwin-Williams Co. in the Washington, D.C., market.
After a wedding trip to Ka'anapali, Hawaii, the couple resides in Laurel, Md.
