Rusty and Tish Hemsley of Dallas, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lavon Renee Smith, to Dock Eric Rutan, son of Jim and Lisa Gibson of Wellsburg.
Smith is a 2003 graduate of John Marshall High School. She is employed at Cabela's at The Highlands.
Rutan is a 1999 graduate of Brooke High School. He is employed at Ensinger in Washington, Pa.
A July 2 wedding is planned.
