Denny and Sheryl Sonk of Flushing announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen R. Sonk, to Charles W. Fischerkeller, son of Charles and Patricia Fischerkeller of St. Clairsville.
Sonk is a 2002 graduate of Union Local High School and a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Education degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a substitute teacher in Bridgeport and Union Local school districts. She is also employed at Lowe's in St. Clairsville.
Fischerkeller is a 1999 graduate of Magnolia High School and a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a major in finance. He is employed at Wheeling Island Casino as a table games dealer.
A July 30 wedding is planned at Lansing United Methodist Church.
