Violet Keifer

KEIFER, Violet Ann Buck, 98, of Paden City, W.Va. died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Sistersville General Hospital in Sistersville, W.Va.

Violet was born September 19, 1913 in Paden City, W.Va. daughter of the late Edwin O. and Bessie Bowen Buck.

She was a former employee of Paden City Pottery, retired employee of Corning Glass, she loved her grandchildren and working with flowers and was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in New Martinsville, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Buck; sister, Mabel Fulks; and three grandchildren, Michael Keifer, Ricky Keifer and Katheryn Keifer.

Surviving are two sons, Kenny (Maysel) Keifer of Paden City, W.Va. and Don (Wanda) Keifer of Bruce, Miss.; grandchildren, Betsy Keifer, Donna Jean Lombardo, Kenny (Megan) Keifer; granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Jean Keifer; and grandchildren, Kelly (Curt) Cappell, and Shelly (John) Turner; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

Friends received 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 with Dale Dudgeon officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, W.Va.
