I wish to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of the good samaritans still around Wheeling.
These thanks are to the people who saw a woman fall down a flight of porch steps and went around the block to come back to help, to the men who heard me scream as I was falling and came to help.
And also to my neighbor - who I was trying to help - for rushing down the flight of stairs to comfort me and to call my daughter. And to the man who called the emergency room and then left before I had a chance to thank him in person.
Again, thanks to all and this is why we stay in Wheeling.
