Turners Mark 60 Years

Madelyn and Garth L. Turner of Wheeling will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday, March 7.

They were united in marriage March 7, 1952 at the bride's home in Triadelphia. The Rev. V.W. Powell officiated the ceremony.

Madelyn Belle Turner is the daughter of the late James and Anna Jackson of Triadelphia.

Turner is the son of the late Earl and Leah Turner of Wheeling. He retired from the former Weirton Steel Corp. after 38 years of service.

The Turners are the parents of a daughter, Cheryl A. Sayre of Triadelphia, and a son, Jeffrey A. Turner of St. Clairsville. They have three grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

A luncheon celebration, presented by their children, with family and friends will be held at Oglebay Park to mark the occasion.
