BELL, E. Robert, 70, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 24, 1941 in Wheeling, the son of the late Harry R. and Isabel Parsons Bell.
Robert served for ten years in the Army, serving in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany as a Staff Sergeant. He was retired from the West Virginia Correctional Department and a former Deputy Sheriff in Ohio County. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of Cave Club and American Legion. Robert enjoyed playing golf, cards, fishing, and watching football.
Surviving Robert are his wife of 48 years, Nancy Elaine Porter Bell; five brothers, James (Rose), Harry (Lori), Thomas (Gayle), David and Bill Bell; two sisters, Isabel George (Butch) and Nancy Todd; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, (304-242-2311), with Reverend Mark Vincent officiating.
