NEW MARTINSVILLE - Mallory Chapman struck out 14 and limited River to two hits, and Emily Blake had three singles and drove in a run as they led Magnolia past River.
Catcher Marissa Bosley also had three hits, including a double for the Blue Eagles (4-0). Maghan Miller doubled and drove in a run.
Haylee Bowers singled and drove in a run for the Pilots (2-1).
