WHEELING - Magnolia's Tori Tharp (18) and Wheeling Central's Brittany Miller (11) combined for 29 strikeouts in 13 innings before the Blue Eagles pulled ahead with a run in the top of the 13th and the Maroon Knights were unable to match it.
Marissa Bosley's double was the game's lone extra-base hit. Mallory Chapman and Abby Durig each had two singles for Magnolia.
Miller had three singles to lead the Central offense.
