HEDGESVILLE - Sissy George and Megan Garcia both had two RBI on two hits as John Marshall beat Keyser, 10-2, in the championship game of the Hedgesville Tournament. In the semifinal round, Amy Rotriga pitched her second straight Saturday no-hitter against Hedgesville to give the Monarchs a 4-0 victory.
Garcia led the way at the plate for John Marshall with three hits and an RBI. In the first game of the day, Garcia pitched a one-hitter as the Monarchs defeated Berkley Springs, 8-0. Kylie Howard hit two triples, a double and an RBI.
Garcia was voted the MVP of the tournament while Rotriga was honored as the best pitcher.
