DRURY, John J. "Jack," 74, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, March 31, 2012, of natural causes at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital.
Born April 5, 1937, he was raised in a tiny Yorkville, Manhattan tenement by Irish immigrant parents, the late John and Catherine (Harrington) Drury.
He is survived by two daughters, Annmarie S. Drury (Bill Broun) of Easton, Pa., and Bridget H. Drury of Washington D.C.; one grandson, Tobias L. Broun; one sister, Mary (Bill) Grogan of Stewart Manor, NY; his former wife, Maureen Sullivan Drury, of Wheeling; one nephew, Daniel (Kira) Grogan of Floral Park, NY; and three nieces, Cathy (Louis) Dattilo of Yorktown Heights, NY; Eileen (Carson) Williams, and Jeannie (Jay) Mullowney of Stewart Manor, NY.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Wheeling.
