Nearly 3,000 students from 19 area high schools attended the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce's 2011 College Fair, held in October at the McDonough Center at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Participants had the opportunity to talk with representatives from more than 100 participating colleges, universities, technical schools and financial institutions.
"We have over 100 colleges that were represented from all over the eastern United States and through the southeast - and we feel that there's a great cross-section of public and private colleges that area students can learn firsthand what they offer ... and it is a great opportunity for them to meet with college reps in one location at one time," said Terry Sterling, president of the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce.
