DUKE, Karen L., 63, of Paden City, W.Va., died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio.
Karen was born May 31, 1948 in New Martinsville, W.Va., daughter of the late Robert and Emma Cosgray Fitzsimmons.
She was an employee of Paden City Development Authority, devoted wife, mother and grandma and was a member of Paden City Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Duke and Debbie Duke; brother, Jack Fitzsimmons; and sister, Doreen Mason.
Surviving are her husband of forty-eight years, Clifford Duke; daughter, Barbara (Patrick) Ferrebee of Paden City, W.Va.; brother, Robert (Ann) Fitzsimmons of Orrville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Patrick and Patricia Ferrebee and Zach Ferrebee, Mitchell and Maverick Stewart and Kristia Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Gavin Ferrebee and Krissia Murphy.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City, W.Va., where service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 with Pastor Bernie Pennington officiating.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens, New Martinsville, W.Va.
