EAST LIVERPOOL - The 31-year-old mother of five children and a 30-year-old man were found dead in a Jennings Avenue home early Tuesday night by her father, who was concerned after not hearing from his daughter.
East Liverpool Police responded at 7:05 p.m. to 1117 Jennings Ave. after the woman's father went to check on them and found his daughter dead in the bathroom and the man dead in the kitchen.
The woman was the occupant of the home, while the man's last known address was Wellsville, according to Detective Don Fickes, who was on the scene.
Their names were not being released due to the pending investigation and because the man's family had not been notified.
The woman's five children - ranging in age from 2 to 14 - were not home and had been staying with her parents for a few days, police said.
A puppy was tied outside the back door of the single family home when police arrived, and Fickes said the last anyone heard from the pair was when a neighbor heard them yell at the dog about 3 a.m. Tuesday.
"It's a questioned death at this time, but we don't suspect foul play," Fickes said.
