JEFFERS, Kay P., age 75, of New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.
She was born September 18, 1936 in New Martinsville, the daughter of the late Kenneth Watson and Georgia Elizabeth Wise Potts.
Kay was a retired executive secretary at Bayer; a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 50 in New Martinsville; First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in New Martinsville, where she was also the board secretary for the church and active with the "Love Ladies" group.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dan Jeffers; two sons, Danny (Darcey) Jeffers of Orlando, FL, and David (Jody) Jeffers of New Philadelphia, OH; a daughter, Rebecca Lou (Coy) Campbell of Lincolnton, NC; a brother, Arthur (Pat) "Mounty" Potts of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Anna May (Dale) Bonnett of Belmont, OH, Barbara (Bob) Meyn of Marco Island, FL and Nancy Lou Starkey of Huntington, WV; a special aunt, Martha Potts Moser, and seven grandchildren, Chelsea Jeffers, Derek Butcher, Kenneth Campbell, Cooper Jeffers, Adam Campbell, Chloe Jeffers and Benjamin Jeffers.
Family will receive friends on Friday from noon until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church, corner of Maple Avenue and Locust Street, New Martinsville, with Rev. Dr. Victor Hunter officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
