Raymond Hall

HALL, Raymond Nathan, 85, of Burgettstown, Pa., formerly of Beech Bottom, WV, passed away April 26, 2012 at home.

He was born December 15, 1926 in Adeline, WV to the late William S. Hall and Junnie Taylor Hall.

Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman and a skilled craftsman, who was loved and respected by many. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a Welder and Mill Rite, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Jean Riggle Hall who passed in 1965, one brother Merle Hall, and three sisters Cleo Carducci, Alma Greathouse, and Ruth Schmidt.

He is survived by his significant other Thelma Scariot, two daughters Valarie Lounder and her husband Robert of Wellsburg, and Wendy Cresap and her husband Michael of Tallahassee, Fla., six grandchildren Cristen, Laura, Nathan, Matthew, Rayann, and Dawn, and five great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday April 28, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles Street, Wellsburg, WV 26070. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Nathan Lounder officiating, interment will immediately follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV. There will be full military graveside rites by the Slovan-Burgettstown VFW Honor Guard. Online condolences may be made at reasnerofwellsburg.com.
