DOBRZYNSKI, Don Sr., 59, of Triadelphia passed away with his family at his side Friday April 27, 2012 at his home after a long battle with lung cancer.
He was born February 10, 1953 in Wheeling, the son of the late Edward and Velma Jane Bennington Dobrzynski.
Don was a roofer and steel mill worker. He was a hard worker and extremely dedicated to his job. He also enjoyed the cookouts with his family and friends, the outdoors, yard work, and fishing; and enjoyed doing most of these activities with his grandchildren. He was a very loving husband and father.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Eddie Dobrzynski; and three sisters, Dolores Dobrzynski, Emma Ferrell, and Margaret Scott.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona Sue Wirics Dobrzynski; a daughter, Samantha Ann Burgess and her husband Rick of Triadelphia; two sons, Rodney Wayne and Don Wayne Dobrzynski Jr. of Martins Ferry; seven grandchildren, Kenny, Taylor, Jordan, Tyler, Scotty, Collin, and Kacie Dawn; two brothers, Joe Dobrzynski and his partner Joyce Glennon of South Carolina and Bill Dobrzynski and his wife Terry of Wheeling; two sisters, Judy Kuhns and her husband Jim of Triadelphia and Jenny Wirics and her partner Frank Norton of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday April 30, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where a service will be held Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 2 p.m.
Interment in Stone Church Cemetery.
