STEUBENVILLE - Greg Stagani was dominant on the mound and Koby Sronce delivered a key bases-loaded single as Edison advanced via victory against Buckeye Local.
Stagani retired the first nine batters he faced and finished with 14 strikeouts. He allowed just two hits (fourth-innings singles by Shane Duncan and Josh Malesky) and fanned the side in three innings against the Panthers (8-18).
Josh Pasek singled and drove in a run while Sronce drove in two.
The victory sends the Wildcats (24-3) into Saturday's lower bracket title game against Big Red, a club Edison has defeated three times this season.
