MARTINS FERRY - Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the Ohio Valley next week, and his itinerary includes a stop in Martins Ferry.
Biden is slated to arrive at 11 a.m. Thursday at Staffilino's Chevrolet in Martins Ferry, said Gordie Longshaw, chairman of the Belmont County Democratic Party. While there, Biden is expected to discuss the Obama Administration's efforts to bail out the auto industry.
It will be Biden's second stop in Belmont County. During the 2008 campaign, he spoke during a visit to Ohio University Eastern.

"It's a big thrill to have him in Belmont County," Longshaw said. "He's on schedule, and appears to be happy to be coming here. We're glad to have him."
Longshaw added he was present when Biden last came to Belmont County four years ago, and that he was impressed with what Biden had to say then.
"I think it's great for him to think enough of us to want to spend some time here - and not just a hello and goodbye," Longshaw said. "I don't know if he's staying for lunch or not. We could get it catered."
According to information from Biden's office, his remarks at Staffilino's Chevrolet will "focus on President Barack Obama's efforts to strengthen the region's manufacturing and auto industries, as well as bolster middle-class security for Ohio's workers."
He is scheduled to make stops on Wednesday in Mahoning County.
