CHAMBERS, Rev. Patricia Marie Bentley, age 69 of Moundsville, WV died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
She was born November 22, 1942 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Ralph Nelson and Ruth Bentley.
She graduated from Huntington High and Marshall University; was a former elementary school teacher in Cabell, Tyler and Greenbrier Counties; completed the Duke University Course of Study and served United Methodist Churches in The Greenbrier, Wesleyan and Northern District; and is presently serving the Graysville Calvary United Methodist Charge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Marie Lyons.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; a son, William A. III (Bobbie) Weed of Idaho Falls, ID; a daughter, Rebecca Marie (James) Smith of Chesapeake, VA; step-sons, David (Mitzi) Chambers of Glen Dale, WV, Richard (Karen) Chambers of Lancaster, OH, and Charles Edward (Sonja) Chambers of Benwood; grandchildren, William Weed IV, Kailena Weed, Isaac Weed, Andrew Lyons, Nicholas Smith, and Jack Smith; a brother, Ralph Nelson, II (Laura) Bentley of Huntington; and a sister, Sandra (Martin) Handshuh of Montpelier, VA.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Brown officiating.
