NEWMAN, Kenneth S., 90, of New Martinsville, W.Va., died Friday, May 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born October 1, 1921 in BeeBee, W.Va., son of the late Joseph O. and Alma O'Neil Newman.
He was a retired custodian with Wetzel County Schools working at New Martinsville School. He loved working on his farm and was a member of the Wileyville Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Archie Newman, and a sister, Auttie Higgins.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Lemasters Newman; a son, Dean (Debbie) Newman of New Martinsville, W.Va.; three granddaughters, Elisha (Travis) Miller of Paden City, W.Va., and McKenzie and Kelsey Newman, both of New Martinsville, W.Va.; great- granddaughter Kiersten Miller; a nephew, Robert (Pam) Newman of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and a niece, Jolene Mann of Columbus, Ohio.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Northview Cemetery.
