DAVIS, Charles Burley, III, 54, born October 17, 1957 in Weirton, WV, died May 23, 2012 at home in West Liberty, WV.
Charlie lost a 16-month battle with brain cancer.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Blust Davis; and his parents, Charles and Madona Shenefield Davis; all of West Liberty, WV; three daughters, Suzanne Clutter and husband, Chad of West Liberty; Sarah Griffith and husband, Todd of Charleston, WV, and Stacey Davis of West Liberty; four grandchildren: Jayden Clutter, Jude Griffith, Jackson Clutter and Anna Griffith; a sister, Mary Jo Headley and husband, Doug of Williamsburg, VA; and a brother, Jeff Davis and wife, Mariann of Weirton, WV. Also surviving are many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and loving friends, and a special dog, J.R.
Charlie graduated in 1975 from Triadelphia High School and 1980 from West Liberty State College. He worked for Travel Centers of America for 24 years, and six years for AEP, Cardinal Plant. He was a member of the West Liberty Christian Church.
Charlie loved living and working on the farm he grew up on. He also dearly loved to play with his four wonderful grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722).
Services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m. at the West Liberty Christian Church with Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating
