April 25, 2009 - a day I will never forget.
That was the day I had the honor and privilege to meet Coach Bill Stewart.
He came to Wheeling to help my family and I celebrate the 90th anniversary of my families business, Louis' Famous Hot Dog. He wanted to come because he had great childhood memories of his mom bringing him to downtown Wheeling to shop, and they would stop in Louis' for hot dogs, and he loved them.
Everything you hear about him is true, he was truly a kind and generous man.
When I asked him, "if he could do a few extra things" the day he came to Louis', he said "sure, you tell me what you want me to do." He was only supposed to be there for 2 hours but he stayed an extra 20 minutes to take pictures with my family and I.
When I told him, "that I thought he was a good Christian," his response demonstrated his humility. He said, "I fall short of His glory."
He made that day a great success, and I will always be grateful to him for that.
Thank you Coach Stewart, you will be greatly missed by all your friends at Louis' Hot Dog.
