From time to time we are accused of being unfair in labeling some enemies of the coal industry as "environmental radicals."
Really? Consider comments made recently by environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Yes, of that Kennedy family.
Speaking at an anti-coal rally in Portland, Ore., Kennedy blasted a plan to transport coal through that state and Washington to Pacific Coast ports, for export to China. "It's going to end up leaving Portland with a legacy of pollution, poison and corruption," Kennedy warned.
Again, really? Remember, the plan is merely to transport coal through the states, not burn it there.
"Anyone who touches coal gets poisoned by it," Kennedy warned.
Still think we're wrong about the 'radical' label?
