Robert DiProsperis

DiPROSPERIS, Robert Lee, 75, of Wheeling, W.Va, passed away 3:30 a.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Acuity Skilled Care Nursing Home in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born February 23, 1937, in Wheeling, the oldest son of the late Elmer and Ann DiProsperis.

He was employed at the Blaw Knox Foundry in Wheeling. His greatest gift and hobby was working and finishing old antiques and building small furniture.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Richard T. DiProsperis.

He is survived by one sister, Joyce Gotard and her husband Charles "Butch" of Middletown, Md.; one brother, Ronald G. DiProsperis and his wife Diane of Wheeling; five daughters, Karen Postlewait of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Sharon DiProsperis of San Diego, Calif., Donna J. Waugh and her husband J.R. of Wheeling, Roberta Rivera and her husband Marco of Del Rio, Texas, and Claudia Sue Gorayeb and her husband Joe of Wheeling; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dorothy Chriswell.

Funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Acuity Skilled Care Nursing Home in Steubenville, Ohio.
