Reading the recent letters concerning so called double dipping there is another side to the story.
I have been a public employee for over thirty years and in that time I have paid no Social Security payments, but I have all of my quarters paid in from other jobs in the private sector.
Upon my retirement, I will be penalized 40 percent of my Social Security pension because of "double dipping."
I don't see where this is remotely fair considering I earned all my time from non-public employment.
