WISNER, Leonard "Gene," 93, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away June 16, 2012 at Ann's Country Retreat, Wellsburg, WV.
Leonard was born on December 11, 1918 in Clearfield, PA.
He was the son of the late Charles and Agnes Wisner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Forse Wisner on March 6, 2011; a brother; a sister; and a son, Leonard Wisner Jr.
Leonard graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1936. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II and a member of the Wellsburg Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
He retired from Colliers Steel as tool room superintendent. Leonard was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing until his late 80's.
Leonard is survived by a daughter, Kay Richmond and her husband John of Moundsville, WV; a son, Edward "Ted" Wisner of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren, Kim Miller of Eastover, SC, Leonard Wisner of Washington, PA and Tracy and Tricia Richmond of Moundsville, WV; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
All services will be held privately and are under the direction and care of the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV.
