DAVIS, Glenn E., 78, of New Martinsville, WV, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.
Glenn was born March 12, 1934 in Clarksburg, WV son of the late Harry D. and Georgia M. McCormick Davis.
He was a retired employee of Ormet, a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, loved riding motorcycles, being a mechanic and making people laugh, enjoyed meeting new people and a member of First Church of God in New Martinsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Sandy Davis (Aug 2011); daughter, Glenna Davis Shepherd; three brothers, an infant, Clem Davis, Donley Davis and Junior Lee Davis and a sister, Mary Katherine Starkey.
Surviving are two daughters, "Tish" Letitia (Marvin) Ice of Sistersville, WV, Rhonda (Rodney) Moore of Pleasant Grove, OH; two sisters, Joan Minor of Canton, OH and Elizabeth (Eugene) Blumling of Wheeling, WV; four grandchildren, Amy Stricker, Jarad Ice, Casey Shepherd and Edward Davis; three great grandchildren, Connor Davis-Stricker, Haiden Ray Shepherd and Gavin Shepherd.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville. Funeral service 10 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 at the First Church of God on Russell Ave. with Pastor Russell Whitener officiating.
Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
