PHILLIPS, Helen Vargo, 94, of Elm Grove, WV, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 after a short illness with her son, Jeff by her side .
Mrs. Phillips was born November 18, 1918 daughter of the late Charles and Julianne Vargo.
She was a devoted loving wife of the late John G. Phillips, preceding her in 1999.
Treasured mother of John " Jack" Howard Phillips of Wheeling, Rebecca C. Frobouck and her husband, Randall "Randy" of Pittsburgh, and Jeffrey A. Phillips and his wife, Candy Layne of Wheeling .
She is also survived by a sister, Emmie Kulpa and a brother, Charles Vargo.
Helen was a mother who always involved in the activities her children, a partner in her husband's photography business and a trustee of her church.
In later years she enjoyed projects of fixing up her 100 year old home , and tending to her lovely flower garden.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) with Mr. Chap Holbert officiating.
Interment in Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to in Helen's name to the Shrine's Children's Hospital c/o Osiris Temple Monument Place, P.O. Box 2048, Wheeling, WV 26003.
