KIRSCH, Joan G., 88, of Wheeling, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born March 14, 1924 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Edward and Bernetta Burkhart Flading.
Joan was retired from Padden's Pharmacy and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kirsch in 1994; two brothers, Roy and Robert Flading; and two sisters, Evelyn Barnes and Vera West.
Surviving are two children, Carol J. Terry and her husband Thomas of Ocean Pines, MD, Donald R. Kirsch and his wife Barbara of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Joseph Jason Clark, Justin Michael Jack, Morgan Kendall Kirsc; and a great-grandchild, Norah Jack.
There will be no public visitation.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family wishes to express its love and appreciation to Dr. John Battaglino, Medical Director of Good Shepherd Nursing Home and the outstanding staff of the Home for providing our Mother with superior end of life care.
The family also wishes to express its gratitude to Dr. James Comerci, Dr. Thomas Dorsey III, Dr. Hugo Andreini and Dr. Richard Terry for their care, consultation and support.
