PEKULA, James V., 72, of Moundsville, WV, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
He was born February 22, 1940 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Harry and Pauline Jacobs Pekula.
James was a retired firefighter with the City of Moundsville and a retired employee of Moore's Lumber Co.; a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville; a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his special companion of 39 years, Naomi Simms of Moundsville; her family, Shelley (Mike) Gorby and Megan Gorby, all of Moundsville; a brother, Stanley (Bonnie) Pekula of Warwood; two sisters, Phyllis Bland of Wheeling and Betty Fortney of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Scott and Craig; two daughters, Tina and Pam; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment in Riverview Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
