REGIEC, Regina Delores died July 3, 2012 at her home after a courageous bout with cancer with her family by her side.

She was born in Wheeling on July 17, 1937 to James and Elizabeth Silver.

Regina was a graduate of The Academy in Wheeling, was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville where she started and ran the bingo there for 34 years.

She was an avid bingo player, an excellent cook and a loving, caring and giving person, always there to help those in need.

Regina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and touched the lives of all those who knew and loved her. She was an aunt, great aunt and great great aunt to many, all of who she loved dearly and treated as her own.

She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by all who loved and knew her.

In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas, great grandson, Colten, brother in law, Fred Hicks and a great nephew, Mathew Hicks.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Jim of Moundsville, son and his wife Jim and Ginger of Glen Easton, granddaughter Vicki (Andy) of Glen Easton, grandson Frankie (Whitney) of Moundsville, sisters Lucille Hicks of Moundsville, Carmella (Perry) Hazelwood of Elko, IL, brother Jim (Barbara) Silver of Wheeling, sister in law Phyllis (George) Hanselman of Egg Harbor, NJ, brother in laws Ed (Sally) Gorby of Lansing, Jerry (Lottie) Durbin of Moundsville, special friend Rosemary (Bob) Price of Benwood and several nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she dearly loved.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant St., Moundsville, WV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Saturday, July 7 at 10 a.m. with Father RanJan Ekka as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

A vigil service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday in the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Restoration Project.
