ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Detectives with the Belmont County Sheriff's Department are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl, and are asking for help in identifying the four suspects. Officials said three girls went to a party at a St. Clairsville hotel a few weeks ago. At that party, one of the girls allegedly was assaulted by five different men. It was not clear how the girls knew about the party or if they knew the suspects prior to attending the party.
Authorities said they confirmed a total of five persons of interest in the case by way of the hotel's surveillance video. One of the men, identified as Cordale Williams, 32, is in custody in the Northern Regional Jail on unrelated charges, but officials said Williams has a rape charge pending in connection with this case.
The four other persons of interest had still not been identified as of Monday. On the surveillance video, one man is standing at the hotel desk. Detectives said the man goes by the name of "Hood" or "Hoodie."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Belmont County Sheriff's Office at 740-695-7933.
