GATTS, Mary Louise Wolfe, age 96, of Proctor, WV, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Liza's Place, Wheeling
She was born September 12, 1915 in Moundsville the daughter of the late James and Bertie Shepherd Wolfe.
Mary was a retired teacher from Marshall County Schools where she started teaching in a one room school house and retired from McNinch School. She was a member of the Graysville United Methodist Church,
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd "Jack" Gatts; two sisters: June Baer and Arlene Yoho and an infant brother: Edward Wolfe.
Survivors include one daughter: Lois (Edward) Zwolensky of Moundsville; one son: Richard Gatts of Proctor; three grandchildren: Dr. Brett (Cindy) Zwolensky of Bridgeport, WV, Richard J. Gatts of Proctor and Nicole Gatts of Pleasant Valley; two sisters: Iona Brodengeyer of Wheeling and Frances Yankosky of Clarksburg, WV and several dearly loved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:30 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville.
Interment in Graysville Cemetery, Proctor.
