GARBARK, Philip M. Sr., 62, resident of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital
He was born November 12, 1949 in Wheeling, the son of the late Edward A. and Mary Gibson Garbark.
Phil was a retired letter carrier with the USPS and also worked part time with G4S Securities. He was a Vietnam army veteran and a Catholic. He was a former All-State baseball and football player with Wheeling Central and was a recipient of the Dapper Dan Award.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Sue Doyle Garbark and his brothers George, Edward and James Garbark.
Surviving is his wife Deborah Moore Garbark; his children Michael Garbark (Kristina), Amy Henderson (Jay), and Daniel Garbark (Angie); stepson Robert Gaylor (Marcie); sisters Kathryn Garbark, Peggy Carbol, Martha Schrimp, and Helen Garbark; grandchildren Cody, Kayli, Cory, Alexis, Nathaniel, Aiden, Micah, and Liam; step grandchildren Anna and Zachary Gaylor; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday from noon until time of service at 7 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722) with Rev William O. Webster officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
