TRAYON, Robert L. Sr., "Tinker," 74, of Rosby Rock, Moundsville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born January 27, 1938 in New Martinsville, the son of the late George Nelson, Sr. and Dora Catherine Hienzman Trayon.
He was retired from the Triangle PWC in Glen Dale, with 38 years of service and a member of the Church of Nazarene in Moundsville.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George N. Trayon, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Margaret V. Trayon; two nephews, Clyde "Squeek" Burge, Delbert Doty; a granddaughter whom he missed dearly, PJ "Doodle" Lightner.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, M. June Trayon; a son, Robert L. (Amy) Trayon, Jr.; three daughters, Cathy (John) Lightner, Jr., Cindy (Brian) Trayon-Crow, Rose (Frank) Trayon-Elza; a brother, Richard (Cindy) Trayon; four sisters, Pauline Jaloway, Ruth (Mick) Woods, Linda (Harry) Doty, Bonnie (Tyrone) Young; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Tanner Trayon, Wayne (Amanda) Lightner, Chad (Tracy) Lightner, Carli Lightner, Kortnie (Bobby McClintock) Crow, Macie (Derek Singer) Crow, Kameryn Crow, Paul Elza; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Hank, and Hunter Lightner, Hunter and TJ Jones, Paisley Singer; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Leon Blaise officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, where military graveside services will be held.
