CAMPBELL, Theresa Carmel, 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
Born August 19, 1923, in Wheeling, Theresa was a daughter of the late Herman and Mayme Daly Bierkortte. Theresa was also preceded in death by her husband, William P. Campbell, brothers, James, Frank, Tom, and Paul Bierkortte, and her son-in-law, Edward Glusich. Also deceased is a great-grandson, Logan Campbell.
She was a 1942 graduate of Warwood High School, a retired substitute teacher, and a homemaker. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed family picnics, sewing, playing games and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearly loved by her friends and large extended family, she was always there to help anyone in any way she could.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, William Campbell and his wife, Sue, of Wheeling, Michael Campbell, of Charleston, Matthew Campbell and his wife, Kathy, of Charleston, and Mary Ann Glusich, of Wheeling; sister, Mary Agnes Carlisle, of Weirton; grandchildren, Bill, Erin, Luke, Tina, Molly, Elyse, and Eric; great-grandchildren Samantha, Vinnie, Aleigha, Ghianna, Dominic, Charles and LeShawn; great-great-grandchild Marley; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV, 26003, (304-277-2722).
A mass of thanksgiving for Theresa's life will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Father Dennis Schuelkens as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
