GIBBONS, Sophia C., 82, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Monday, July 23, 2012, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 20, 1930, in Wheeling, a daughter to the late Stephen and Phyllis (Morz) Ruskowski.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Gibbons; one daughter, Sharon Whitecotton; and two granddaughters, Dawn (Higgins) Ensell and Brandy Jo Thompson; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by seven daughters; one son; two brothers, Joe Ruskowski and Edward Rusk; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
