GORBY, Riley Jr., 88, of Dexter Ave., Moundsville, formerly of Cameron, WV passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Riley was born July 31, 1923 in Cameron, WV son of the late Riley William Gorby and Maudie Wycoff Gorby.

Retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways; a U.S. Army veteran of WW II; a member of the Cameron American Legion Post #18; and a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron, WV.

Preceded in death by his parents; and first wife June Ritchea Gorby; and one son, Larry Wayne Gorby.

Surviving are his wife Billie Louise Simms Gorby; one son, Randy (Dorothy) Gorby of Oak Hill, WV; two sisters, Mildred Anderson of Moundsville, WV, and Mary Olive Linaweaver of Wheeling, WV; one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Gorby of Cameron, WV; on grandson, David Gorby of Mt. Hope, WV; five nephews, Keith, Steve, Danny, Mark, and Bill; one niece, Janice and numerous step-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1109 Second St., Moundsville,WV where services will be held Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Richardson and Rev. Tom Wilt officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Cameron, WV. Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
