LAFFERTY - A Belmont man died Saturday after a motorcycle accident near Lafferty.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dusty R. Bobot, 33, was riding the motorcycle southbound on Belmont County 72. Just after 8:40 p.m., Bobot veered off the side of the road before striking a telephone junction box and utility pole. He was transported to Ohio Valley Medical Center, where he later died of injuries sustained in the accident.
Officials said they believe alcohol was a factor in the accident, which is still under investigation.
