STOCKING Cynthia Bishop, of Sudbury, died July 19, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was 80 and the wife of the late Robert E. Stocking whom she married in 1957. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was a graduate of Triadelphia High School in Wheeling, Class of 1948, and West Virginia University. She also completed a Masters of Education at the University of Virginia. In 1969 Mrs. Stocking moved to Sudbury, Massachusetts with her husband, Robert, former Chief Librarian for the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston.
Over the years Mrs. Stocking enjoyed a variety of continuing adult education courses but her main focus in life was that of a mother and homemaker. She leaves her son, Steven M. Stocking of Boston and her sister and brother-in-law, Eugenia and Richard Righter of Murrysville, PA.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, from the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Rt. 20, Sudbury at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sudbury.
