MILLER, Marie Elizabeth Stalder, 92, of Sardis, OH, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
Marie was born on July 15, 1920 in Sardis, a daughter of the late Jacob and Callie Gauding Stalder.
She was a stay-at-home mother and a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was treasurer of the WSCS for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Miller, Sr.; her two brothers, Grover and Robert Stalder; and a step-great-grandson, Logan Hobbs.
Surviving are her three sons; Jim Jr. (Ruth Ann), Danny (Brenda) and Randy (Samantha) all of Sardis; her daughter, Carole (Cecil) Hindman of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Ann, Kristine, Jill (Mike), Brandi (Josh), Joe (Momoe) and Eric (Vanessa); 12 great-grandchildren; Chase, Trey, Ridge, Stone, Nathan, River, Finn, Reese, Trail, Hayden, Leo, and Noah; four step-great- grandchildren; Brock, Nicholas, Brett, and Zach; and a step-great-great-granddaughter, Brylee.
Friends will be received at the Sardis United Methodist Church, corner of Monroe St. and S.R. 7, Sardis, from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Richard Wilson in charge. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery, Sardis.
