SHAFFER, Kathleen, age 92, formerly of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Fairview Pines Assisted Living, Sebring, FL.
She was born November 22, 1919 in Phillipi, WV the daughter of the late Albert C. and Mattie Belle Bolton Jones.
She was a member of Cedar Avenue Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert S. Shaffer on February 2, 2011; six brothers, Willie "Bill", Sidney, Russell, Edwin, Adrian and Paul Jones; and three sisters, Ruby Snyder, Ruth Shockey, and Ora Wilt.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L. (Pam) Shaffer of Moundsville, and Gene (Sandy) Shaffer of Avon Park, Florida; two daughters, Loretta Snider of Mt. Claire, WV, and Karen (Larry) Shreve of Moundsville; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m .at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Evangelist Devin Roush officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
