JOSEPH, Josephine A., 99, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, August 13, 2012 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born February 16, 1913 in New Kennsington, PA., a daughter of the late Nasim and Sophia Phillips.
Mrs. Joseph was a homemaker and the oldest member of the Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Maronite Church where she served many years in the Our Lady of Lebanon Women's Society.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis; a daughter Joan Hill; a grandson, Todd Stocking; a great grandson, Timothy Epps and a great-great granddaughter, Gabby Nulph; three brothers, Abe, George and Jimmy Phillips; and a sister, Rose Phillips.
Surviving are a son, Ronald (Roberta) Joseph of Brooksville, FL; three daughters, Dolores (Albert) Cinque of Wheeling, Louise Stocking of Wheeling and Clara (Michael) Malone of Lawrenceville, GA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling where a vigil service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Maronite Church with Rev.
