The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register

HALL, Corey Mackenzie, 35, of Moundsville, WV, passed away August 6, 2012.

He was born on July 24, 1977, the loving son of Dennis M. and Mona Hunter Hall of Moundsville; brother of Russ (Tawnya) Hall of Glen Dale; uncle of Mackenzie Hall; grandson of Rosemary Hunter of McMechen and the late Carl Hunter; grandson of the late Charles V. Hall and Catherine Louise Hall; the late B.J. Hall, Bangles, Gemini and Prime Time Hall. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Corey was an employee of Teletech, but his passions were bowling, the Buffalo Sabres, the Oakland Raiders, softball, music and his Xbox. He had a great love for all animals, especially his cat, Cambria, his constant and faithful companion at home.

In this day and age, it is hard to find a genuine person. Corey was this person. He was a true free spirit, who lived by the following and would want others to do the same: "Life is about being yourself. Someone only you can be. Someone only you can understand. Someone that is unlike everyone else. Someone that doesn't copy others to look the same. Someone who is extremely unique. Because you are you. Be original, be creative, be yourself."

Family and friends will be received at a casual dress memorial gathering from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby- Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville.

A casual dress Memorial Service and Celebration of Corey's Life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon to be held at the Moundsville VFD from 5-8 p.m.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Corey's memory to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.altmeyer.com.
